3.15 Rear View Mirror/Attachment Width
According to EU Directive 76/756 EEC and article §54 of the German motor vehicle traffic regulations (STVZO), motor cars that are to be used in the Federal Republic of Germany must be provided with mirrors. These mirrors must be designed and installed in such a way to permit the driver to look backwards and sideways - also if a trailer is hooked up to the vehicle - so that he or she is capable of observing the traffic.
As standard, all LT-model are equipped with an interior mirror and a exterior mirror - for a max. attachment width of up to 2,150 mm.
For attachment widths between 2,150 mm and 2,400 mm, exterior bracket mirrors are available (normal/large bow).
Availability of LT exterior mirrors (see also Sales Manual): - Standard mirror (serial) - attachment widths up to 2,150 mm
- Bracket exterior mirror, normal (standard dump truck and LT 46 chassis) - attachment widths between 2,151 mm and 2,300 mm
- Bracket exterior mirror, large - attachment widths between 2,301 mm and 2.400 mm
